Writing my first Feature Film

Everyone makes mistakes, they are inevitable, unavoidable. Make that mistake once and you can prevent it from happening again, make it twice or a third time and maybe you didn't learn your lesson. Maybe you need guidance. That is what I need, guidance. I wrote my first feature film and was left feeling unsatisfied. My tutor read it and liked it, but offered no guidance. I got a good grade but I know that I can do better, I know that it was nothing but a first draft and waited impatiently for the constructive criticism. Should I keep feeling my way through the dark? The answer is yes, I think, because I do not have the money to ask someone who truly knows what they are talking about. So I'm going to push on, go with my gut and hope that it is enough.

My muse

Reading by candlelight late at night is one of the best experiences I have ever had, and no matter what I do in the future, it will always remain be a treasured ritual. There are just some books that shouldn't remain closed. Books that inspire you and bring you joy, fear and rage along with the characters. The characters become like family.

I used to stay up too late at night dissolving into a book or writing. Those times when my eyes burned and my hand would begin to hurt so much all I could do was switch to the other side, those times are what matter.
